CALVARY APOSTOLIC CHURCH
OUR HISTORY
In June 1993 Bishop Smith and his family migrated to the USA. Here a work started in Amityville July 1993. In September 1998, Calvary Apostolic started under the leadership of Bishop Denton Smith and Elder Basil Douglas as the assistant pastor at 474 Sunrise Hwy and in June 1999 Calvary moved to 275 Albany Ave. Amidst the struggles, testing, humiliation and rejection at times he has persevered to stare adversity in the face and say hallelujah anyhow.
As time went on however our congregation grew but the space was limited. It was time to move, for months our Bishop along with the other church members searched tirelessly for a new location trusting in God to be their guide. By the grace and mercies of God, we were able to move to our present address 5730 Merrick Rd in Massapequa. God has blessed us with two buildings on one property as well as a large parking lot and even police officers periodically patroling the area to make sure everything is alright. God will always provide for his people. All we have to do is trust and believe in him.
